Human lifestyles have evolved over the past years with more processed than home-made food consumed today. This trend has led to greater focus and importance of food safety on the part of the food processing entities.

At Flamingo, Food Safety and Quality is of paramount importance and in staying true to this commitment the following standards guide all our processes:

  • World Food Safety Guidelines (WFSG) as guided by the International Flight Services Association (IFSA)
  • ISO 22002-1 Prerequisite Programs to Food Manufacturing, ISO 22002-2 Prerequisite Programs to Catering and ISO22000 Food Safety Management System.
  • Quality and Safety Alliance In-flight Services (QSAI) guidelines.

Whilst the upholding of Food Safety and Quality Standards is a shared commitment across all team members, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary Quality Assurance team manages this commitment on a day-to-day, process-by-process basis supported by management commitment.
